With so many fabrics, colours and styles available, choosing the right curtains can be a daunting task. Lynne Johnson of Curtain Inspirations offers a computer design service to help make the decision a lot easier.

Lynne, an interior decorator. Using a digital camera, Lynne then takes photographs of the windows and later uploads these shots to her computer. She selects suitable styles from her database and puts them onto a video for presentation to the customer.

Lynne says that people often have difficulty visualising different curtains or treatments on their windows.

At the moment the system is still being developed and it does have some limitations. For example, it is not able to copy fabric swatches. You can therefore get an idea of colour and style, but not pattern.

The first window costs $50 and each additional window $25. If you commission Lynne to supply the curtains, the service cost is deducted from the final price.
